That completes the separation at layer 2 — and it is not yet a security boundary. A network of its own only means that traffic now passes the firewall. Whether the firewall lets it through is a different question.</p> <p>In <a href="https://trustserv.de/en/post/homelab-teil-5/" >part 5</a> I did this once for a single VLAN, the one for telephony. By now there are twelve networks, and the temptation is strong to build one pattern and copy it everywhere.</p>
